Brilliant! I love it when they’re on GERTI and all together. Excellent stuff! But yes, Martin might be leaving us, and I fear it is probably the end of Cabin Pressure looming. I’d hate to say good bye to Martin, but it’d be easier to do than saying good bye to the whole series. Oh well, one more to go and something tells me I’m going to tear up at it :(
Ahh…Martin and a princess – too adorable for words. It’s just impossible for me now to think CP isn’t coming to an end and, again, I’m fine with it as long I know in the end they are tucked up, comfy and happy – as only they can be.
I thought the fizz/buzz thing went on a bit long but I will need to listen again – had some great laughs and, once more, some poignant moments.
Baby chicken? Gosh, I love his mind for coming up with stuff like that – and “baby lamb” – so funny.
So, Carolyn and Arthur may wind up wherever Herc is (I just assume Arthur goes where she goes), Martin may end up as a nifty pilot with more than an air dot and maybe even a princess – I wonder what Douglas will do – retire on a beach somewhere and line up a whole new line of exes that would match the start of the London marathon?
Sniff. Makes me sad. I hope it is left open at least for an episode with “Z” in the name –
Of course, they could come back full swing for a 5th season – that would be brilliant!
Does anyone else think Carolyn would let Swiss Airways buy MJN if they offered?
I really really loved this one! I generally like these “private” episodes just like Limerick!
I laughed so hard about the game and it there were almost no things to worry about this episode, everything just ticketyboo… loved it! Second favourite episode this season (after Uskerty)!
ave a banana! that is now going to be stuck in my head all day now. brilliant episode. loved if
“Fizz! Buzz! Have a banaaana!” left me in stitches. Especially when GERTI joined in for the fun too!
To be fair I think I can cope with it all coming to the end as long as we have a Z.
And it all ends with Douglas doing something clever and sorting it all out.
How green was my valley?
Seven
Oh, that would be cool. SA would buy it with Carolyn making it a condition that they hire Martin – though I like the idea of Martin flying a large commercial jet. He’s wanted to be a pilot since he was a little boy after all.
That was one of the funniest yet – husband & I both laughing ourselves silly while trying to serve up dinner. Needless to say dinner had to wait!
How does John Finnemore do it? How does he make us care so much while laughing our socks off? If this is the last series, oh God… One more to go… Let’s savour it, folks.
I’m back again. I can’t stop thinking about this season and what we are seeing with respect to Martin. When the princess was introduced a few episodes ago, I thought, oh, this could be a wee bit much; but, it wasn’t. And, now thinking about how much we have learned about Martin this season and how much Carolyn is urging him to spread his wings, how he has become somewhat more self-aware – I actually think the princess bit is just sublime.
Martin throughout the series has always been a bit of the so-called “ugly duckling” – a bit like Cinderella – not getting respect for his abilities, being made fun of, not getting paid for his job, etc (even while I think viewers always saw him as endearing, he could be a bit of pain with his hat, and his “I’M the Captain, etc) – and now, to me, having him with a princess just makes me giddy because, really, what other character on any other show, would that make sense or not make you roll your eyes?
Thank you JF – I love what you have done and are doing.
I”ve got a feeling Z must be Zurich – hope Douglas coming too!
If it is, it’ll be a one-off special – this series ends at Yverdon-Les-Bains. :-( In Switzerland where Martin has an interview.
After each episode of this series I think “That’s the best one so far”, how does JF keep besting himself? He’s more than “brilliant”!
Greetings from a German fan :)
Great episode !!! One of my favorites. I’m sure John Finnemore won’t disappoint us and present us with a happy ending.
I wonder how they cope with the language in Switzerland.
A good ending would be if Caroline moves with Herc the burk and the princess buys MJN for Martin adding insult to injury for Douglas as Martin will be his boss a well as captain this would leave things sufficiently open for a reunion Z episode for example Martin needs an extra pilot for a job and calls Caroline, Arthur and Herc
Oh, and don’t forget to credit Lobo Chan as the Xingzhou ATC! What did he say to Douglas about leaving before dusk – I couldn’t make it out?
There. Has. To. Be. A. Z.
Even if I have to wait til Christmas for it. A Christmas special finale/wedding/special in Zurich?? Or am I just a fantazist.
John has said there will be a Z, but now that you mention it,Caro, Zurich it probably is!
It is all so clever and seriously funny. Nothing beats the “weasel in a submarine” from the first ever episode though. But how thick am I – for someone who has listened to all the serise over and over again I have only just twigged that the places are in alphabetical order!
