  • That was just the greatest. An absolutely perfect (fairytale) ending. Thanks Finnemore and company.

  • Absolutely wonderful. Thank you for letting us fly with you xx

  • That was just brilliant. A fitting end and happy ending for the crew of MJN Air. And I will absolutely deny, not matter how true, just how weepy I got when the lemon was finally in play.

    • I was laughing and crying at the same time… I dont thibk that has ever happened before… the lemon will always be in play… :)

  • Well done, everyone!!! I can’t think of any better ways to wrap up the saga of MJN Air. The lemon will always be in play.

  • I think it needed longer. Even with two episodes, things happened too quickly? Maybe?

  • OMG… It made me cry and laught at the same time. I cant believe that it is over… It was so funny though and I think Mr. Finnemore, possibly the smartest but surely the most brilliant man in the world arranged it so perfectly for the characters to come into their own. I think he managed to make references to all the other episodes, covering a lot of the funny plots and issues A-Y. They have been very well build characters and thanks to Mr. F they were able to reach a lot of people, like me from Turkey.

  • Brilliant! Just when you think you’ve worked out what’s going to happen, JF does it better than we could ever imagine.

  • CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It was all so wonderful and for the fantactic work you have all put in you will be remembered as the most amazing people on the Earth!!! The amazingest and most Fantabulous and BRILLIANT!!!

  • Amazing. Brilliant. Marvelous. Fantastic. Terrific. Every other positive word in the English language and then some. GERTI had a heart of gold all along!

  • We could not have hoped for a better ending. Well done to all involved.

  • I couldn’t have imagined a better wrap up of the series.

The mystery in the storyline was amazing as always — plausible but surprising! (On par of one of my favorite episodes – Paris!)

It was perfect for Christmas too: MJN air is a real family and I loved that the ending highlighted this. The advice Douglas gave Martin brought a tear to my eye! Everyone raising to the challenge and bringing their best game on was lovely to see – when the cause was one they all truly cared about.

I was also touched hearing the Thanks to John Finnemore’s dad who is the consultant and as far as I gather is the inspiration behind the premise. He must be very proud of his son so creating such a wonderful world of characters that grew over the years and for which us, listeners, grew deeply fond of!

Thank you John Finnemore and fellow Cabin Pressure enthusiasts.

    The lemon is in play!

  • Can only echo what others have said: absolutely wonderful finale; had me laughing and crying at the same time. Arthur had the last word, which was, of course, “Brilliant!” And so say all of us!

  • Great conclusion. So much joy packed into half an hour. I was only thinking the other day than John’s writing reminded me of PG Wodehouse, fundamentally good natured and kind. Today we had people pretending to be each other which was classic PGW territory. Sheer joy. Been trying to think since yesterday of people who should be enemies. I offer up Rufus Hound and Sam Fox. Michael Fish and Carrie Fisher. Victoria Wood and Harry Carpenter.

  • Cabin Pressure is the present I bought for people I love this christmas.
Zurich was a wonderful present for me.
I just had a great great time listening to it and can’t wait for the script and CD.
A big thank you from Bordeaux to everyone who works on this serie.

  • Thank you so much for this brilliant final episode.
It’s really sad it’s over, but I guess we couldn’t have hoped for a better ending.
And I loved that the airport OJS Air was approaching started with A…
Gonna miss it, but I will never stop listening to it ovee and over again!
    Merry Christmas!

    • People are probably going to take the “Book Ends” of flying to a city beginning with “A” of hinting at a sequel/spinoff.

      That would be brilliant, though…

  • Loved the second part more than the first, and I hope you all got the ‘loutre’ reference near the end, as ‘loutre’ is ‘otter’ in French.

  • So now it is complete. A tremendous piece of work Mr Finnemore. I have been listening to radio comedy for fifty years and Cabin Pressure is outstanding.

  • That was perfect! <3

  • Perfect ending! Loved it! Great to go out on “The lemon is in play!”

  • That was just fab, I laughed and laughed. The response to “what have you got in the back of the van?” almost caused an accident. Loved the subtle flying into the sunset ending and of course the lemon. The best possible ending

  • A knighthood for Mr Finnemore! Brilliant!

  • Utterly wonderful! Thank you Mr Finnemore for a great series and a perfect, fairytale ending (much happier even than Casablanca when the lady gets to go on the plane!). The lemon shall forever be in play.

  • The perfect conclusion – absolutely loved it! The warmth with which Mr F writes about his characters and the way that the relationships have developed over the series meant that the final episode was like bidding farewell to old friends. I cried a little but laughed much more, so thank you to the whole cast for such a wonderful Christmas present. Off to listen again…

  • I must have heard a different broadcast to everyone else. I’ve listened to all the others literally dozens of times each and I laugh out loud every time but Zurich was so poor I doubt that I will ever to it listen again. JF should have left us to fill in our own ending at Y – Zurich just wasn’t funny and felt like a desperate dash for a happy ending no matter how ridiculous. Gold wiring! Is that really the best you could do John?

So, what do you think?
