Listen Again to Cabin Pressure – Update for International Listeners

Greetings on the morning after the night before. Im sure you all enjoyed episode 1 of Cabin Pressure Series 4 as much as I did. Certainly if the amount of activity on Twitter (#CabinPressure became a trending topic worldwide and in the UK) and the number of comments on the Timbuktu episode post is anything to go by, it was a hugely popular episode!

I’ve had some reports that ‘iPlayer doesn’t work outside the UK’ or ‘Its only available to UK users’, which simply isn’t true. Certain services from the BBC are UK-only, but access to listen again is not one of them. The iPlayer App is UK only, so you won’t be able to access the episodes through that on iPhone, Android, iPad or other tablets using that – more information here. Unfortunately “There are currently no plans to offer the app to international listeners.”.

You can, however, access it using a web browser on desktop PC, Mac, maybe iPads and tablets as well. I have had plenty of reports from all over the world saying that it works absolutely fine (Including USA/Canada, South America, all over Europe, Asia and Australasia) so keep trying! The links you can try are as follows:

I hope this helps – If you’ve successfully listened again outside the UK, please leave information in the comments as to how you did it in case it can help others. Leave as much information as you can such as what device you are using, which browser and which link. Thank you!

(I’m using my laptop with Windows Vista and latest version of the Opera browser)

    • PERFECT comment, thank you!

  • Hi,in germany use this http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01l02j9 (iPlayer) via PC,won´t work with IPhone.

  • Another option, not just for CP but all BBC Radio programmes (even those occasional shows restricted to the UK only) is to install the wonderful “Radio Downloader” software available here: http://www.nerdoftheherd.com/tools/radiodld/

You can subscribe to any programme and it will download automatically as an mp3 file when it becomes available. Then just transfer it to your phone, tablet, whatever and you’re good to go.

  • I listened to it right off the BBC4 website as it aired….no problems at all

  • It’s available on BBC official page in Korea, too :)

  • Hi there!

I’m from the Philippines and successfully listened to CP4: Timbuktu for the nth time on BBC iPlayer from my laptop.

During the live show though, I listened to it on my phone via an app called TuneIn: http://tunein.com/mobile/. As someone who is addicted to BBC radio drama and comedy series, this free app is very convenient for me.

  • I too use the above given tunein app! Its brilliant! :D
    I live in India..

So, what do you think?
