Cabin Pressure Fan Poll Results April 2012

So its that time again – the results of this month’s Cabin Pressure Fan Poll. This month we were asking – ‘What age bracket do you fall into?’ Well we’ve had comfortably the best response so far, with well over 700 votes cast, so thank you for taking part, the Cabin Pressure Fan demographic is taking shape nicely!

So without further ado, here are the results:

Which age bracket do you fall into?

  • 0 – 10 years: 1 vote (0%)
  • 11 – 20 years: 335 votes (46%)
  • 21 – 30 years: 237 votes (33%)
  • 31 – 40 years: 82 votes (11%)
  • 41 – 50 years: 49 votes (7%)
  • 51 – 60 years: 18 votes (2%)
  • 61 – 70 years: 6 votes (1%)
  • 71 – 80 years: 1 vote (0%)
  • 90+ years: 0 votes (0%)

729 votes in total

So our most popular age bracket is the 11 to 20 year olds – maybe a little surprising considering its a Radio 4 production!

Next poll is continuing the Cabin Pressure Fan demographic, lets see how far spread we’ve reached… Which part of the world dp you live in? Get voting now!

Thanks again for taking part.

  • Considering that the 11-20 year-olds are both the current wave of Benedict-shippers AND spend most of their time on the computer at fansites and such, it’s not really surprising. I think you might find CP’s real demographics run a tad older in terms of actual listeners.

  • OMG that makes me feel very old. At least I’m in good company though as John F is a few months younger than me and Benedict C is a few months older than me, which makes me feel a bit better.

  • I found Cabin Pressure through Radio 4 when I was 13, I hadn’t even heard of sherlock etc
I enjoy Radio 4 anyway, and my parents never made me
Now my whole family like CP

  • Brilliant , Skip!

“So our most popular age bracket is the 11 to 20 year olds” – of fans who access this poll on the website!

About a few gazillion listeners to the radio show would not (yet) have found their way over to here, so the poll is only a poll of those answering the poll! That’s the problem with Internet Questionnaires : they systematically answer ‘exactly’ the question you ask, and not the one you really want to know the answer to!

“I say, Cabin Pressure Fan site”
” i could be wrong, but I believe you are only polling on the Internet”
” this makes me feel – like I have answered an Internet poll”
” one thing you could do is – open the poll up to twitter , FB, or even radio 4″
” how does that sound to you? ”

    Love the show!
    Xx

So, what do you think?
